Dear Diary,

Whew, what a day. I have been putting out Bush fires (haha, good one, Barack) all over the place. It seems that I’m going to have to completely undo the last eight years of damage caused by the Bush Administration, or at least as much as possible. I made so many promises the American people, but unlike Bush, I actually plan on keeping my promises.

So, today I spend a great deal of time working on beginning to undo all the environmental problems that have been accumulating over the last eight year.

I’ve already done so much already, from working to complete a stimulus plan to finally jumpstart this economy, to with the auto industry to regulate car emissions, which won the support auto industry leaders.  Not to mention, I’m improving our relations abroad by increasing the foreign aid available for family planning. I truly am a godsend to this country.

And today, I have begun my work to ensure that the United States does our part to help the environment across the country, from permitting individual states like California to set standards for improved fuel efficiency to allowing states like Connecticut to use clean tailpipe standards to reduce global warming caused by cars and trucks. I just can’t believe that Bush refused to sign those memorandums. It’s just crazy how much he catered to lobbyists.

Not to mention, the Senate has finally confirmed Geithner as our Treasury Secretary. Well, in my opinion, if those Republicans are trying to make trouble, then their only hurting themselves and their chances for re-election in 2010.
